Biography

Dr. Akash Sabarwal is an Instructor in Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and a Research Associate in the Division of Nephrology, Boston Children’s Hospital. He earned his Ph.D. in Life Sciences from the Central University of Gujarat, India. His research focuses on receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) signaling, metabolic reprogramming, oxidative stress, and immune evasion in renal and pediatric kidney cancers. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, including in Cancer Letters and Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy, and serves as corresponding editor for the Springer volume Receptor Tyrosine Kinases in Cancer. Dr. Sabarwal has received several institutional and NIH-linked awards, including the Kidney Cancer SPORE Career Enhancement Award and the Boston Children’s Hospital Bridge Funding Award, recognizing his contributions to translational kidney cancer research.
